A kitchen is rectangle and measures 3 yards by 5 yards. The laminate tiles that i am looking at measures 1/2 ft by 1 ft. How many tiles will i need for the kitchen floor

30 tiles.  You will need 30 tiles because 1/2 * 1 is 1/2 and 5*3 is 15.  15 sq. ft./ 1/2 sq. ft is 30.  So you will need 30 tiles.
