Three reasons why prehistoric people were settling deeper inside the mainland territories are:
- Less natural disasters;
The inland territories are much less effected by natural disasters, and the climate is much more predictable and its much safer for living in this areas, and this is a big factor when deciding where to live.
- Dense vast lowland forests;
The vast forests inside of the continents were of huge importance to the early people because they were providing lots of food sources for them, so naturally people were moving into the areas were food was more abundant.
- Bigger and more abundant pray;
The bigger pray that can feed the people better and for longer time was usually located deeper into the continents, so people were attracted by the opportunity to have much bigger and stable food sources.
