I read 40 pages of a book. this is equivalent to 2/3 of the whole book. How many pages does this book have?

There would be 60 pages in the book totally because you would set 40/x=2/3 and solve for x.

40/x=2/3

2x=120

x=60
2/3 = 40
1/3 = 20
=The whole book has 60 pages
