Without a fridge, a lot of the food we eat would go bad and would no longer be edible. Another piece of technology we use is the car. Cars make it a lot easier to get from one place to another if you are going long distances. Now, i would not say that a fridge and or car is detrimental to our survival, but it is a way that humans have adapted to life.
