The Shawnee Chief Tecumesh, a brave warrior urged the Indians to unite and resist the encroachment of the whites. He thought that whites can't be trusted by the Indians and the evidence he offered regarding the same was " when the Jesus ( PBUH ) came upon the earth you (whites) killed Him and nailed him to the cross".

In 1908, Tecumseh embarked on a vigorous campaign against the whites and persuaded the Indians of the Deep South and those within the old North West to come together and fight against the whites.

Tecumseh was a great and brave warrior, who has fought many battles. He participated and fought in the battles between white Kentuckians and the Shawnee. The white Kentuckians at that time invaded the Ohio River Valley territory.
In the mid-1790s, many of the battles fought by the Americans were won and Tecumseh had moved over to westward, but still not supported the oppressive nature of the white men.
However, Tecumseh was killed in 1813 during the battle of the Thames and was not able to unite the Indians. He was not able to achieve his plans for the Native Americans.
