Mechanical weathering is the breaking of rocks on Earth's surface. These are somethings that contribute to it:
- Temperature shocks: when rocks are cold and are exposed to hot temperatures or vice versa, these can cause them to fracture.
- Earthquakes: the movements of the Earth's surface will most likely generate big cracks on superficial rocks.
- Humans: human activity can also fracture the rocks on our surface.
Hope it helped,
