Giving a child a lottery ticket can send the message that gambling is just a game, said Sklar.
"We don't necessarily recognize that as a risky behaviour. . . . We know about drugs and alcohol and tobacco, but we don't always know that we have to teach kids that gambling can have an impact on them, too,"Sklar said.

Many people believe it is unethical to let children gamble. Children do not have the same understanding of the risk of going bankrupt. Young children might end up broke, and a child trying to pay off debt is extremely hard. If the child ends up in a really serious debt, that may take a life time to pay off and no child should have to live with that mistake. Children can not get jobs so how are they going to able to repay that money. Parent may also have to pay of their child's debt and parents will suffer as well.
