There really isn’t any reason. Statistically everyone in the country spends about $250 on lottery tickets a year and the poor people spends 3–4x a much a year. If the whole idea is to keep them from gambling because they are bad at math and won’t gamble. Well most people are bad at math and gamble and don’t understand how the lottery works.

Look at lottery spendings per state and population. Right so, either by some argument a chunk of the population is spending 1/30th-1/60th of the paycheck on lottery tickets or more and it doesn’t account for truly addicted gamblers who buy $500/week or well I think I’ve made my point that if the rules were meant to prevent children I don’t know.

Children have no money really. The reason is they won’t let them claim the prize however it can be claimed by the parent.
