sum the parts of the ratio : 3 + 4 = 7

divide 6300 by 7 to obtain 1 part

[tex]\frac{6300}{7}[/tex] = 900 ← 1 part

3 parts = 3 × 900 = 2700

4 parts = 4 × 900 = 3600

note that 2700 + 3600 = 6300
