Daphnia - Water invertebrate

Daphnia obtain chemical energy by absorbing blucose from algae. Then it is used in cellular respiration to produce nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADP) which is chemical energy. Daphnia require chemical energy in the form of NADP. So, it uses gills to extract oxygen from water (H2O) to help it obtain chemical energy.
