Then all the five dime will be
[tex]5\times\frac{1}{2} =2.5[/tex] units long
Or you could add all 5 to get
[tex]\frac{1}{2}+ \frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{2}+\frac{1}{2}=\frac{5}{2}=2.5[/tex] units
