(No. of professors + 14 times the no. of professors = total)

Add.

15x = 37,500

Isolate x by eliminating 15.

15x/15 = 37,500/15

x = 2,500

There are 2,500 professors in the college.
37,500 - 2,500

(Total - no. of professors = no. of students)

= 35,000

There are 35,000 students in the college.
