An scale factor of 2 means that you need to double the size of the figure.

An scale factor of 1/4, means you need to draw figure which is a quarter of the original.

  • Let's say that the figure A has sides 8, 4 and 2. The new figure A' is gonna have sides 4, 2 and 1.
  • Let's say that the figure B has sides 4, 4, 3 and 3. The new figure B' is gonna have sides 8, 8, 6 and 6.
  • Finally, let's say that figure C has sides 8, 8, 12 and 12. So the new figure C' is gonna have isdes 2, 2, 3 and 3.
