Mr. R comments on a test, "well, the class average on that test is exactly 83. if I take away the best score, the average is exactly 82." if there are 16 students in the class, what is the best score?

The best score was 98.
To move the average of 16 people by 1%, the best score had to be 16% more than the average.
82+16=98
