Question: It is hard to believe, but the desert and the tundra have a lot in common! The most obvious is that both biomes have little available water. What plant adaptations would you expect to see in these two biomes? Include four adaptations you might see in BOTH biomes.

Tundra and deserts are the biomes which are similar in nature that both have very little water. Therefore, the vegetation found in both these biomes are adapted to live in scarcity of water. The vegetation of the tundra is dominated by small sized shrubs to resist cold and windy climatic conditions. As in tundra biome, in desert, small sized shrubs are common in desert. In these plants leave are modified to spines, adapted to conserve water.
