Tornadoes are a funnel shape cloud that is produce by wind. Earthquakes are the moving of the Earth's ground. Volcanic eruptions occur when lava is heated to the point were it has enough energy to leave the ground, blizzards are a massive snow storm, and hurricanes occur with very fast wind that comes with rain. The most common of all of these in my area would be blizzards and hurricanes.
Some of the natural events which commonly affect both the United States and Canada include:
- Tornado: This is a strong collection of air that rotates violently and is formed when humid air comes in contact with cold air.
- Earthquakes: This occurs when there is an immediate release of energy within the Earth which causes strong shakes or movement of large particles of the earth.
- Volcanic eruptions: This occurs when hot lava is released from the surface of a volcano, causing destruction to the inhabitants nearby.
- Blizzards: This occurs when there is a very strong movement of snow with up to 55 km/hr speeds.
- Hurricanes: These are very strong winds which rotate spirally and comes with heavy rains and thunderstorms.
These are all naturally occurring events which can have devastating effects on any person or structure in its path.
The United States and Canada are both located in North America.
