Current Events: Find something in the news this week that relates to one of the 27 amendments. Explain the event that just occurred and tell which amendment covers that type of incident.

Graphics: Make a timeline of the fifteen amendments you think are most important. Place them in order on the timeline with the dates they were ratified. Write a sentence for each, telling why you think each amendment is so important to us in our own time. For examples of timelines, you can go to your favorite search engine and type in keywords, "examples of timelines."

Written Assignment: Knowing what you do about when the amendments were ratified, predict if you think there will ever be any new amendments to the Bill of Rights. Predict what you think it will be about and tell why you think that.

Please keep these three sections in one document, adding to it as you complete the assignments. The entire assignment is to be turned in at once, although you need to work on one or more parts every day. Date the day you do each assignment so that your teacher will know that you have been working right along.

I think there will certainly be new amendments added to the bill of rights because their is never a limit to any laws that can be created, especially in our world, which is changing constantly. Ever since the bill of rights has been formed there have been many adaptations and changes made for every era the U.S has been in. You can never accurately predict what amendments would be made until they are in the process of being created. There have been amendments made on sexuality and possibly, in the future, made on immigration. I choose these because these are increasingly popular issues that are being reformed in the 21st century.
