In the first account 1:1-2:4 we see a God who is a creator and is kind and worried about man's life and experience on earth. He provides him with animals and a woman as companions. God acts as a guide and mentor in man's life. In the second account 2:3-25, God is a more patriarchal figure giving life to man but attaching rules and regulation for him to follow prohibiting him from certain activities such as eating from the tree from knowledge. God appears as a more controlling figure who is to be feared and obeyed.
