Here we have to draw the structure of the final product obtained from the reaction between disiamylborane with 3-methyl-but-1-yne and successive addition of H₂O₂ and NaOH.
The final product of this reaction is 3-methyl butanal
The disiamylborane is a selective reagent to form the aldehyde from the alkyne. The final product in this reaction will be 3-methyl butanal which is shown in the figure.
In the first step of the reaction the boron atom attached with the terminal carbon of the given molecule and in the next step on addition hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide the reduced oxidation happen to form the corresponding aldehyde.
