Public policy is based on law. It is a course of action that is taken whenever a problem arises in society. There are some steps that the federal, state and local government should take in order to interact when carrying out a public policy: 1. Recognize a problem. 2 Set it in the public agenda. 3. State a policy 4. Adopt a policy and 5. Evaluate the policy.
