Magnetic forces use two main components to keep a maglev train afloat. They first use Lifting Forces, (force that pushes upward with a lot of pressure, enough to counteract gravity.) It also uses stability, ( this ensures that the train will not flip or slide out of control.)

The repulsion between one set of magnets lifts the train up from the tracks. The train floats or we can say levitates above the track. Another set of magnetic forces makes it move forward.
