If your doctor prescribes you 30 days worth of antibiotics, but you feel better after 10 days, why is it critical to finish the entire bottle anyway?

I am not MD but I can provide you with answer.

AntiBiotics are know also as AntiBacterials. So if you fell better after 10 days it means that most bacteria that caused demage to organisam died out, but not the whole strain. So you need to take the rest to stop bacteria from reproducing further.
