In Sally's town there are 1,050 people that can vote.....Not everyone did vote though :( The two candidates running were Ms. Smith who had 462 votes and Mr. Jones who had 378 votes What PERCENTAGE of the 1,050 people actually voteD?

To start off, to find the total amount of people who voted you need to add the two values, 378 and 462.

378 + 462 = 840

To find the percentage of voters, you divide the actual amount by the predicted amount:

840 ÷ 1050 = 0.8

Then simply multiply by 100 to get the percentage:

0.8 x 100 = 80

So the percentage of people who voted was 80%!
