Photosynthesis is the process plants use to convert sunlight into chemical energy. The process of photosynthesis can be modeled to illustrate the most important aspects of the natural phenomenon. Through this process, plants use energy in sunlight to turn carbon dioxide gas and water into sugar. Plants then use this sugar to grow. At the same time, plants produce oxygen gas as a waste product which animals breathe.

A)limiting water will limit sugar production of the plant
B)limiting sunlight will limit sugar production of the plantC)limiting carbon dioxide will limit sugar production of the plantD)limiting sunlight, water, or carbon dioxide will limit sugar production of the plant

Respuesta :

I believe the correct answer is D. Limiting sunlight, water, or carbon dioxide will limit sugar production of the plant.

Hope thats right and helps! :)

Answer:

The correct answer would be an option D.

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants fix carbon of carbon dioxide into the sugars or food with the help of water, sunlight, and chlorophyll.

It is divided into two parts:

Light reaction: It is the phase in which sunlight is used to perform photolysis of the water which helps in the production of ATP and NADPH. Oxygen is produced as a byproduct.

Dark reaction: The ATP and NADPH are used to fix carbon into the sugars.

6CO₂ + 6 H₂O + sunlight → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂

Thus, sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide are all required for photosynthesis.

Limiting any one or more factors can limit the sugar production of the plant.
