Pollen is produced when a plant goes through sexual reproduction. If you want to find pollen in a plant try checking the microsporangiate cones or pollen cones or even male cones. Another explanation is that the stamen is the pollen producing part of of a flower but in the stamen you have the anther were the pollen is actually produced in the stamen.
