Why/How to Get Answer: Both the typing time and the printing time are per page.

This means that the typing plus printing time is:

30 x 13 + 3 x 13 = (30 + 3) x 13 or 429 minutes.

Converting to hours:

Total Time = 429 minutes x [tex]\frac{1 hour}{60 minutes}[/tex]=[tex]\frac{429}{60} hours = 7.15 hours[/tex]

Since it took Wes 30 minutes to type 1 page and Wes wrote 13 pages multiply the number of pages to 30 minutes to find the number of minutes it took for Wes to write his book report.

13 x 30 = 390 minutes

After Wes write these 13 pages, it took him 3 minutes to print each page so multiply the number of pages to 3 minutes to find the number of minutes it took for Wes to print his book report.

13 x 3 = 39 minutes

Now add them together to find the total time it take altogether to write and print his book report for English.

390 + 39 = 429 minutes

Now since you have the number of minutes divided it to 60 because there are 60 minutes in a hour, and you would get the number of hours it took Wes.

429/60 = 7.15 hours

A) 7.15 hours is your answer!
