It was during those years that a woman called Virginia Henderson appeared.
She was a nurse who was known for the principles and practice of nursing.
She was born in 1897 and received a diploma in nursing from the Army School of Nursing.
She developed a nursing theory based on the following:
Nurses should take care of patients until they can take care of themselves.
Patients must have the will of getting well.
Nurses should devote to patients day and night.
Nurses education should be at a university level.
Besides that assumptions, she claimed that there were 14 specific activities that would help in the patient recovery.
Her theory and description of nursery brought great changes to the nursing profession and it is used nowadays by nurses all over the world.
