The names of polygons usually end with the suffice - gon.

Little  Billy had trouble naming a 3-sided polygon because generally regarded as Triangle not Trigon.

A triangle is a polygon because it has more than two sides. "Poly" means several.

Other polygons are:

  1. Quadilateral - Has 4 sides
  2. Pentagon - has 5 sides
  3. Hexagon - has 6 sides
  4. Heptagon - 7 sides   etc.
