Use the factoring to find the solution to the following equation

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!
Answer: Choice C, -(3 +2/3)
Discussion:
Start with
13x^2 + 56x + 75 = 4x^2 -10x - 46
Subtract 4x^2 from both sides:
(13x^2 - 4x^2) + 56x + 75 = -10x - 46
Add 10x to both sides
(13x^2 - 4x^2) + (56x + 10x) + 75 = (-10x + 10x) - 46 or
9x^2 + 66x + 75 = -46.
Add 46 to each side
9x^2 +66x + (75 + 46) = 0 =>
9x^2 + 66x + 121 = 0.
This factors as follows:
9x^2 + 66x + 121 = (3x + 11)^2 = 0 =>
3x + 11 = 0 =>
x = -11/3 = - (3 + (2/3)) which is choice C
Thank you,
