1.  110 times the dimeter of the Earth. The Moon is about 400 meters away from the sun. It always has to be 6 feet away from the Earth. The sun is just half a mile away from the Earth.

2. They realized that they weren’t far enough away from the sun yet and they thought if they went closer they would become the same size but they soon found out that they had to go farther way in order to make the moon the same size as the sun.

3. A solar eclipse happens when the moon gets between the Earth and the sun which causes the moon to cast shadows down onto earth. And it can only happen at the phase of a new moon.

4 The experiment that they had to do was to figure out how far the moon, Earth, and sun were from each other, they had models they got to use in order to figure it out. They had to make sure they knew exactly what to do for the experiment to work correctly and they finally able to do it.
