Since the sponge was dropped, is the sponge dirty or is the floor clean?

The sponge is dirty.
The floor would not be clean because the floor is not being scrubbed and the floor is larger in size than the sponge. Therefore, the sponge would be picking up germs and dirt, but the floor wouldn't be losing hardly any at all.
