The solution for this problem is displayed in the image attached.

The method I used to solve this problem was trial and error. I tested different combinations of 2 sets of 5 numbers each where no number is repeated except for one number in either of the two sets and the sum of each combination was 23.

The working out for the correction combination of numbers is as follows:

Column No. 1:

2 + 3 + 1 + 8 + 9 = 23
23 = 23
Therefore, this equation is correct.

Column No. 2:

4 + 5 + 1 + 6 + 7 = 23
23 = 23
Therefore, this equation is correct.

As both equations are correct and both columns add to 23 while abiding to the conditions of the problem, the combination of numbers ( answers ) for this problem must be correct.
