many leaders have gain power by support and status in society. many like hitler could be compared to Nero , Caligula and the rest of the triumvirates of ancient Rome.but even after a war there can be lasting affects after europes reformation and especially scientific revolution where people realized they could do their own research about life without having someone tell them what to do
