The reason why Ford's action got such a reaction was because they thought that this decision was going to get him bankrupt and it would also fail.
Ford had made an announcement that his 13600 workers were to be receiving a minimum wage that was of 5 dollars everyday.
This was what led to a negative reaction from other business people. The person that gave this reaction felt that paying all of his workers such an amount may lead to bankruptcy.
He also believed that Ford was going to create problems for other employers of labor in similar field
