The slave trade was where white people picked to take a African person and treat them as their slave.
Slavery was when the Africans were owned by the White folks and they had to work beyond their limit, mentally and phsically.
If we only stopped the slave tade, this means we're simply only stopping the Africans from being sold to other owners. However, if we stop slavery and put an end to it, there will be no poor slaves working hard which most of the time is wrong because they do not get any rewards or money.
