Saving money is one of the common areas of conflict for families.
Why is money a common conflict in families?
Families are vulnerable to the destructive effects of economic hardship and financial turmoil. Many families lose their houses, automobiles, retirement accounts, valuables, money, health insurance, and other things during hard economic times. Families frequently struggle to satisfy their bare necessities. Stay-at-home mothers can find themselves suddenly needing to sell their favorite items or look for a job. Fathers who are out of work feel guilty, ashamed, and like failures for no longer being the family's breadwinner. Families are also relocating together. It is distressing to go from having something, even by modest means, to having nothing.
