What kind of motion indicates a system where the net force equals zero?
A. only accelerating objects
B. only stationary objects
C. both accelerating and stationary objects
D. only objects moving with a constant positive velocity
E. stationary objects as well as objects moving with a constant velocity

The net force is zero on any object that's not accelerating ... the speed and direction of its motion aren't changing.

That's true of any object that's moving in a straight line with constant speed, or else not moving at all.

So the correct choice is E .

The answer would be E. I am sure of it because it was on one of my assignments in Physics.
