Social-Conflict Theory
This theory views society as inequal and believes this causes conflict and social change. It is believed that society is structured in a way to benefit a few at the expense of the majority. Race, sex, class and age are linked to this social inequality. Because Kareem is seeing inequalities between families in the U.S., especially between race and class, this theoretical approach would be the most accurate.
