cos C is equal to
[tex]\frac{adjacent \: side}{ hypotenuse}[/tex]
The adjacent side is 36 and the hypotenuse is 45, so using the formula:
[tex] \cos(c) = \frac{36}{45} = 0.8[/tex]
The answer is cos C = 0.8
