The character of the tramp this time is an immigrant who arrives in the United States by boat from Europe. He is falsely accused of robbery in the crossing, and befriends the alleged victim, because in reality he has tried to help her by leaving money in his pocket. In the plot of the film it is tried to show the daily situations by which the immigrants passed when arriving at America.
