Individual freedoms were under the tutelage of the state. After the collapse, the citizens have more freedom of locomotion, expression and religion. Contact with other regions, such as Western Europe, has been reestablished.


Communism is based on state power that is not transparent. In this way, power was in the hands of bureaucrats, often corrupt. That is, the end of communism brought more transparency and vigilance, encouraging greater integrity and honesty.
