The porosity of soil shows how much of its volume is a free or an open space. This can be told rather accurately by trying to measuring the amount of water it can hold almost like testing out how much a water balloon can hold it is the same way with soil to see how much it can hold in it. The permeability of soil show how easy it can have water move through it.
