When I was younger I went to my older brother's basketball games every Saturday to watch him and his friends play. After a while my brother finally convinced my mom to get us a hoop for our own backyard. When we got it I played with my already brother but I already know how to shoot, I must have picked up from watching him play.
This is observation learning because I didn't know how to shoot a hoop and I was never taught, I saw what my brother did and mimicked it, an example of observation learning.
What I ended up doing was shooting basketballs in the hoop without being taught.
Hope this helps!
