Answer: this is an example from the website below

Step 2: Combine the coefficients.

5h + 11g + 1h - 8g.

(5 + 1)h + (11 - 8)g.

6h + 3g.

Step 1: Organize your like terms.

5x + 8x + 10x2 - 7x2 - 4x.

Step 2: Combine the coefficients. (5 + 8 - 4)x + (10 - 7)x2 9x + 3x2 Related Links: Combining Like Terms Worksheets. Combining Like Terms Quiz. Algebraic Expressions.

I would do it for you but I believe you can do it on your own with these instructions

Answer:

1: 5n, 2n and n are like terms, 6m and 2m are like terms and 4n (to the power of 3 has no like term)

2: 2g, 3g and g are like terms, nothing else is like terms

3: 7x (to the power of 2) and 3x(to the power of 2) are like terms, and 2 and 3 are like terms, also 3x and x are like terms.

Now Combining

1: 3v and 2v can be combined to make 5v + w = 6v + 8 = 14v - 2 = 12v

2: 8c(to the power of 2) + 2c(to the power of 2) = 10c(squared) You can also combine 6c and 5c = 11c, so 11c + 10c(squared) and 10c(squared) is equal to 10c + 2 so 12c + 11c = 23c

3: so 5e and 2e can be combined to make 7e and 8 and 2 and 13 can be combined to make 23, and the rest cannot be combined, so it is 23 + 7e + 3z = 30e

Hope this helps! :D
