The mole ratio is the ratio of moles of one substance to the moles of another substance in a balanced equation.Jan 30, 2015

Mole ratios are obtained from the coefficient of balanced compounds in a chemical reaction.

For every chemical reaction, there are reactants which give rise to products, when the chemical equations are balanced, the stoichiometric  coefficients which come before the balanced chemical formulae of compounds give rise to mole ratios.

Thus a Mole ratio  is the conversion factor that tells s the number of moles of the compounds reacting to form products.

For example

N₂  + 3H₂---->2NH₃

 The above equation tells Us the mole ratio are in

      1  :     3      :      2

Also,

1 mol of N₂ / 2 moles of 2NH₃

 1 mol of N₂ / 3 moles of H₂

3 moles of H₂/ 2 moles of 2NH₃
