What is difference between gram positive and gram-negative bacteria?

In gram staining gram-positive bacteria retain the crystal violet color when stained with iodine, where as gram-negative bacteria show pink color when stained with safranin.

Gram-negative bacteria are more resistant to antibodies because their cell wall is stronger and impenetrable.

The major difference between both the bacteria is that gram positive bacteria have a thick peptidoglycan layer while gram negative bacteria have a thin peptidoglycan layer.

The periplasmic space and two layers in the cell wall is present in gram negative while gram positive bacteria lack a periplasmic space with single layered rigid and even cell wall.

Hence penicillin cannot enter into the cell of Gram  negative bacteria.

Thus option A is correct.
