An established pattern of behavior through which a group of believers experiences the sacred is a Ritual. Rituals are one of the three basic elements of all religions: Rituals, Belief Systems, and Organizational Structure. Ritualistic behavior is a part of every religion, often used to mark a change in status. It is used to unite believers and reinforce faith. Example of Ritual: Baptism (Christian faith).
