Respuesta :

let h and c represents number of hotdogs and corndogs sold

a)

hotdogs sold = 2×corndogs sold - 3

h = 2c - 3

b )

1 hotdog costs = $3

h hotdogs will cost = 3 × h = 3h

1 corndog cost = $ 1.50

c corndogs will cost = 1.50 × c = 1.50c

so money collection = money collected by selling hotdogs and corndogs

3h + 1.50c = 201

c)

now putting value of h from equation in part (a) in equation obtained in part (b)

3h + 1.50c = 201

3(2c-3) + 1.50c = 201

6c - 9 + 1.50c = 201

7.50 c = 201 +9= 210

c = 210/7.5 = 28

so now

h = 2c - 3 = 2×28 - 3= 56-3= 53

so 53 hotdogs sold and 28 cordogs sold
