  • Charging by conduction occurs when electrons are transferred from one object to another by direct contact.
  • Charging by friction occurs when electrons are transferred from one uncharged object to another by rubbing the objects together.
  • Charging by induction, is when electrons can react to the electric field fo a charged object without touching the object itself.
  • Charging by polarization is when electrons react to electric field, resulting in individual atoms having charge ends that are attracted to charged objects.
