The three main categories of federal law enforcement agencies are: Military Police, Civil Police, and Native American Tribal Police. Then there is the FBI, the DEA and the special police of the park. The agencies can be: federal, state or local. The agencies that enforce only federal laws and are under the control of the executive branch of the federal government are the federal law enforcement agencies.
